RNS researchers co-organize a conference on RDI policies

RNS researchers Dr. Tarmo Kalvet and Professor Dr. Rainer Kattel co-organize a conference cross-border regional co-operation with Nordic countries on Research, Development & Innovation (RDI) policies taking place in Kuressaare, Estonia, on 5-6 August 2013.

The conference is part of the Research and Innovation Policy Monitoring Programme (TIPS), an applied research project commissioned by the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research. Participant list features experts from Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Iceland and it is being financed from the European Social Fund.

TIPS partners include Estonian Ministry of Education and Research, University of Tartu, Tallinn University of Technology/Ragnar Nurkse School of Innovation and Governance, Archimedes Foundation, Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, and Estonian Research Council. The aim of the project is to support the implementation of „Knowledge-based Estonia“, which is the Estonian Research and Development and Innovation Strategy for 2007-2013, to develop the consequent strategy for the years 2014-2020, and to implement studies that would endorse the development of related measures.
