Prof. Perez’ keynote presentation at Globelics ’12


Professor Carlota Perez’ (visiting Professor of Technology and Socio-Economic Development at Department of Public Administration) was one of the keynote presenters at this year’s GLOBELICS International Conference held on November 9-11th in Hangzhou, China.

Her presentation „A Green and Socially Equitable Direction for the ICT Paradigm“ was dedicated to the late Chris Freeman, the founding Chair of the TUT Technology Governance program Advisory Board.

GLOBELICS is an international network of scholars who work on “learning, innovation, and competence building systems” (LICS) as their framework and are dedicated to the strengthening of LICS in developing countries, emerging economies and societies in transition. The conference was held for the 10th time and focused this year on opportunities and challenges caused by globalization in innovation and development.

TUT Department of Public Administration was represented at the conference also by Dr. Veiko Lember, Dr. Tarmo Kalvet and the Director of the Department, Professor Rainer Kattel, who co-authored a paper on public procurement in innovation policy.
