Prof. Dr. Dres.h.c. György
Jenei (Corvinus University of Budapest) will give a lecture on
the dismantling of the Austro-Hungarian
border in 1989 from a Public Policy perspective in TUT on 15 September. The lecture addresses
the policy process and policy decisions
allowing the East German refugees to leave for the Federal Republic which set
in motion the Fall of the Wall and the end of Soviet domination of Central and
Eastern Europe. The lecture is part of the celebrations
of the honorary promotion of Professor Jenei by TUT - TUT will
award an Honorary Doctorate to Professor Jenei in recognition of his
contribution to teaching and research in Public Administration in Central and
Eastern Europe and especially at the TUT Department of Public Administration. The lecture takes place on Thursday, 15 September at 15:00 h in the TUT Council room
(621), Building VII, 6th floor (Rectorate). The lecture will be
followed by a reception. Please
