Erik S Reinert's 2007 book How Rich Got Rich … and Why Poor Countries Stay Poor (Constable, London) has won two distinguished prizes this Fall. First, Reinert's book received the highly rated Gunnar Myrdal Prize of 2008 by European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy (EAEPE). In addition, in December this year, professor Reinert received Selvaag's Prize in Norway. The prize aims to stimulate people in business, science, art and culture to think originally and find solutions that benefit society.
